7 Inch Netbooks use a MID On Chip flash processors that are basically a miniature SD card, that is fused into the motherboard of the 7 Inch Netbook. While there are several different models of this processor, most 7 inch netbooks use a WM 8505 processor, which can range in speed and operating capacity from 300 megahertz to 1gigahertz.

7 Inch Netbooks are compatable with several different operating systems. While most 7 Inch Netbooks are powered by Windows CE 6.0 some older versions are powered by Windows CE 5.0. Other 7 Inch Netbooks are Powered by Android 2.2, which is also known as Android Froyo and offer a more mobile like user experience. Other older models are powered by Android 1.6. Another popular operating system for the 7 Inch Netbook is Linux, however in most cases this operating system comes loaded by request.  

Sure, while the process of changing or flashing the operating system can be a little complicated, it is very much possible. First, take the 7 Inch Netbook and determine which model processor is installed on it. Then take a 1gigabyte or larger SD card. Go to a different computer and download the Operating System that you would prefer on the 7 inch netbook, simply save it onto the sd card the original folder file that it came in. If the operating system was compressed in a RAR, ZIP or similar format file, users will need to extract the file first. Then format the SD card and make sure there is no other data on it. After this, copy the operating system file onto the SD card and insert it into the 7 Inch Netbook, wait a few seconds and power it on. Pay attention to what happens on the screen and any prompts that the operating system will produce. Once the flash process begins stay focused on the 7 Inch Netbook untill the process finished, upon completion, immediately take out the SD card or the process will need to be reinitiated. Reboot the 7 Inch Netbook and thats it, it should power up with a new operating system. 

Unfortunately the Windows powered versions of the 7 Inch Netbook do not yet support JAVA or Flash. According to Microsoft this will be patched in their next release of Windows CE or Windows Mobile operating system. However, 7 Inch Netbooks powered by Android will have absolutely no problem playing Flash or JAVA applications.

Definitely, the 7 Inch Netbook comes equipped with 3 USB Ports which can connect to and power 3 independant USB compatable devices. However, devices requiring instalation of software for sync or communication with the 7 Inch Netbook may not be compatable with the & Inch Netbok depending on the software requirements. Please check basic system requirements prior to installing any software on the 7 Inch Netbook computer to ensure compatability.
