With an Android Phone users can use voice input to enter text by speaking. Voice input is a feature that uses Google speech service and will require data or WiFi connection to be used. If the Android Phones onscreen keyboard does not display a Microphone key, voice input is disabled or has not been configured. Go to Home, go to Menu, then touch Settings, then Language and keyboard, then Android keyboard. Another way to get there is by holding the Symbol key on the Android phone onscreen keyboard, in the dialog that opens, touch Android keyboard settings. Touch Voice input. Touch the option for where you want the Microphone key or touch Off to turn off voice input on the Android phone. Then swipe finger across the android phone keyboard from left to right or clock the text field and then select the microphone button. 

Take the Android phone and open your contacts. Press Menu and touch New contact. If there are more than one account with contacts, touch the account to which the contact will be added. Enter the contact name into the Android Phone. Touch a category of contact information, such as phone numbers and email addresses, to enter that kind of information about the contact. Scroll the page to view all categories. Touch a category plus button  to add more than one entry for that category for example, to add both work and home numbers. In the Android Phone menu, Touch the button to the left of the item of contact information to open a menu with preset labels, such as Mobile and Work for a phone number, or touch Custom in the menu to create custom label. Touch the Picture Frame icon to select a picture to display next to the name in your lists of contacts and in other applications. When finished adding contact to the Android Phone, touch Done.

Take the Android Phone and open the Android contacts menu. Press Menu and touch Import Export. Touch Import from SIM. If there are  more than one account on the Android phone, touch the account into which the contacts will be imported. A list of the contacts on the SIM will appear. Touch and hold a contact and touch Import in the menu that opens. Or press  Menu and touch Import all. Not the Android Phone will have all the contacts from the SIM.

Take the Android Phone and Call a contact as would normally be done. If the Android phone has Google Voice already configured, the Android phone will ask whether or not the user wishes the call to be placed via Google voice. Simply press Use Google Voice and the Android phone will connect the call via Google Voice. If the Android phone has Google Voice configured to use it for all calls, this dialog does not appear. Google Voice displays a reminder that calls are placing via Google Voice. If the call is a toll call, Google Voice plays a message with the per-minute charge and the number of minutes at this rate the Android phone has remaining on the account.
